FOCUS. EXPLAIN. EXPORT.

Make the point
visible.

A useful screenshot tells one clear story. Trim the noise, mark the detail and leave with a clean PNG.

A THREE-MINUTE PRACTICE

One image.
One clear point.

Try the sample, then apply the same approach to an image of your own.

  1. Keep the context that matters.

Crop around the sample’s “Review draft” card. Leave its title and status visible so a reader knows what they are looking at.

  2. Choose one focal point.

Outline the status label, then place a short note above it. A single precise annotation is easier to follow than a wall of arrows.

  3. Read at the final size.

Download the PNG and open it before sharing. Can you still read the key detail? If not, use a tighter crop or larger text.

01 / COMPOSITION

Leave a little breathing room

A crop that touches every edge can make a detail hard to recognise. Keep a small margin around the element you want to explain.

02 / PRIVACY

Remove sensitive context

Check names, addresses, tabs and notifications before sharing. Cropping excludes pixels outside the exported area. An outline or text label does not conceal sensitive content beneath it.

03 / FILES

Keep the original

This workshop exports a new PNG. Your original file is not changed. The working image and edits disappear when you leave or reload this page.
